Frequently asked questions

Buying, financing, sourcing, calibration, and service: straight answers to what customers ask us most.

Buying from MESCO

How do I get a quote?

Use MESCO's quote request form. Give the product line, the product or the job you need done, and your timeline, and the right MESCO product team will reply with a recommendation and a quote.

Why don't you show prices on the website?

Most of what MESCO sells is configured to the job, so prices depend on the model, options, quantity, and support you need. Send a quote request and MESCO will price exactly what you need.

Which brands do you carry?

MESCO is the Philippine distributor for Mazak, Amada, Mitutoyo, ISCAR, Vickers, Moog, and other makers across six product lines. See Partner suppliers for the full list, or Products to browse by line.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. MESCO offers in-house financing. Mention it in your quote request and MESCO's sales team will go through the options with you.

Can I see a machine before I buy it?

Yes. MESCO's Technology Center in Pasig City is a 1,000 square meter showroom with more than 30 machines on display, including Mazak, Amada, Mitsubishi Electric EDM, and Mitutoyo measuring machines. Walk-ins are welcome Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. To see a specific machine running, tell MESCO which one and when, and a specialist will be ready.

Sourcing and spare parts

Can you get something you don't normally carry?

Often, yes. Send MESCO a sourcing request and it will look for the item through its supplier network. MESCO sources laboratory equipment and gear measuring systems this way, for example.

Can I buy spare parts for my machine?

Yes, for the equipment MESCO sells. Send the machine's make and model and the part you need through MESCO's spare parts request, and MESCO will source it.

Calibration

Is your calibration lab accredited?

Yes. MESCO's calibration lab in Pasig City is accredited by the Philippine Accreditation Bureau to PNS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (accreditation no. LA-2024-453A, valid until March 2029), and its results are traceable to national and international standards. See Calibration for the certificate and scope.

What can you calibrate?

MESCO calibrates measuring instruments from hand tools to CMMs: calipers, micrometers, indicators, height and bore gauges, gauge blocks, surface plates, hardness testers, and vision, form, and coordinate measuring machines. A few items, such as pin gauges and force gauges, are calibrated outside its accredited scope; the Calibration page lists which.

How long does calibration take?

MESCO's calibration lab in Pasig takes about 10 working days for small tools and 20 for gauge blocks, first come, first served.

Do I bring my instruments to you, or do you come to us?

Small tools and gauge blocks go to MESCO's lab in Pasig City, where items are subject to acceptance. MESCO calibrates measuring machines and surface plates at your plant.

Will you adjust my instrument if it's out of tolerance?

No. At MESCO, calibration checks an instrument against a reference standard and reports how far it reads from it; it doesn't include adjustment. If an instrument needs adjusting or repair, MESCO's metrology service team, which is separate from the lab, can do it.

How often should instruments be calibrated?

Your quality system sets the interval, based on how often and how hard each instrument is used and how tight your tolerances are. Many shops start at once a year and shorten or lengthen the interval from the results. MESCO's guide Measurement basics explains how calibration works.

Service and training

Do you service the equipment you sell?

Yes. Each MESCO product line has its own service team, trained by the maker of the equipment, to install, maintain, and repair what customers buy. Send a service request with the machine's make and model.

Do you come to plants outside Metro Manila?

Yes. MESCO's metrology service team, for example, covers Metro Manila and nearby provinces, and out-of-town sites including Pampanga, Tarlac, Baguio, Cebu, and Davao.

Do you offer preventive maintenance?

Yes. For CMMs, vision systems, and form measuring machines, MESCO's preventive maintenance program combines one calibration and one maintenance visit in a single package. For other equipment, ask MESCO's service team for that line.

Do you train our operators?

Yes. MESCO runs courses at its Pasig City building or at your plant, with up to five people per class so everyone gets hands-on time: machine software training and metrology courses from reading calibration certificates to GD&T. See Seminars and training.

Parts made to your drawings

Do you make parts to order?

Yes. MESCO Manufacturing machines precision parts to customers' drawings in Pasig City, Philippines, and is certified to ISO 9001:2015 for machine parts and ISO 13485:2016 for medical device components (bone implants).

Will you sign an NDA before I send drawings?

Yes. If your project needs a non-disclosure agreement, MESCO signs it before you share anything. See Request a manufacturing quote for how it works.
